Objectives

Electrical & PLC Support


Tri Tech recognise the need to have in house support for electrical and PLC work when required for breakdown service, as this eliminates the need to rely on outside subcontractors when rapid repair is necessary.  Two of our technicians are qualified electricians, so combined with their refrigeration knowledge, they are able to fault find quickly and accurately.  All senior technicians are also experienced with PLC’s and are competent in electrical fault finding. We have three highly experienced PLC programmers available as backup support as well as electrical back up from our affiliated electrical company PPC Industries.

Service Continuity & Response

We like to have all of our technicians familiar with the client’s plant, but try and focus on two technicians attending to most maintenance/service work, as we believe this will assist in plant familiarisation and consistency in the service routine. We understand how important refrigeration is to our client’s business and are able to promptly respond to ensure their refrigeration continues to operate.
Communication
To ensure our team is available and can respond quickly, all personnel have mobile phones. Our “On Call” technician also carries an alpha numeric pager. As a secondary level of backup, one of our management team (on a rotating basis) carries a backup pager. The pagers are accessible at any time through “3” paging service and an operator will answer the phone (not a computer).

Our 24 hour, 7 day service number is (02) 9756 6577. For after hour’s service calls, our system works as follows:

Dialling (02) 9756 6577 will divert to “3 paging service” …… operator will answer “Tri Tech Refrigeration, do you require after hours service?” …… please provide company name, contact name and contact phone number.  Our “On Call” technician will contact the client within 15 minutes.

To ensure we respond promptly, two paging signals are sent out; one to the “On Call” technician and one to the backup pager.  If a second page is sent out after the 15 minute period, the manager will contact the technician to ascertain that they have received the call and responded.  If the technician is unable to respond, the manager will arrange a back up technician to respond and advise the client of these arrangements.  As a further level of back up, telephone listings of the directors and service manager can be issued to the client.

OH&S

Tri Tech has an established consultative OH&S system so all employees are actively involved in the process.  With maintenance work, each task on each job site is assessed, preferably with the client’s representative, to determine any associated risks and control methods are agree upon.  Routine reviews are performed usually on an annual basis.

For installation sites, machine removal and machine replacement, a risk analysis (toolbox meeting) is conducted on every project prior to commencement of work.  Tri Tech, as part of the OH&S system, has a set of standard work procedures, which form part of our site procedures.
